A climb up Bedat, July 2004

Bedat is a smallish hill right next to Bagneres. You can see the statue on top of it from our sitting room, if you stand in the right place. The three of us walked up it one day - and actually Sophie did insist on walking up the steepest bit, although Patrick carried her most of the way. It was a gorgeous day and the views are spectacular, as I hope the photos show. We saw loads of butterflies, which fascinated Sophie.

tired before we'd even started you can just see Bagneres in the valley la Vierge de Bedat - you can just about spot Patrick and Sophie walking up map-reading sitting on the table d'orientation, with the view across towards Lourdes view up the valley - Bagneres is just out of sight to the left
